Fannie Mae is currently offering buyers up to 3.5% in closing cost assistance through October 31, 2011.

I have been showing clients a lot of REO/foreclosure properties in North Indio lately.  A good portion of them are owned by Fannie Mae.   Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from time to time do offer some great incentives for owner occupant buyers.

If you will be an owner occupant and are making offers on bank owned properties, and the home is owned by Fannie Mae, make sure your agent requests the seller credit you 3.5% in closing cost assistance.
